Guidelines for Emmorton Recreation Council based on input from the State and Harford Parks & Recreation.

1.            These guidelines will be shared with all participants from each program and will be placed on the homepage of the Emmorton Recreation Council website.

2.            Masks are required to be worn by everyone, including program participants and coaches upon entering/exiting the building and at all times while inside the building; unless engaging in physical activity, unless the individual asserts the face covering poses a safety or health risk. In both exceptions the individual is claiming the risk, not the team, rec council, or program.

3.            Always promote social distancing between all participants/volunteers/instructors during practice/game/class/program when possible.

4.            When participants arrive for practice/game/class/program, he/she will have a designated area to keep their bag/water with a distance of six feet between each bag.

5.            Each participant MUST bring their own water bottle. ABSOLUTELY NO SHARING OF WATER BOTTLES.

6.            Emmorton Recreation Council suggests that all volunteers/instructors and participants bring their own hand sanitizer for their own use.

7.            Practices/games/classes/programs will be spaced out to allow time for participants and volunteers/instructors to arrive and exit the premises with an attempt to avoid crowding the parking lot and paths as much as possible. In addition, practices/games/classes/programs MUST be kept strictly to the time allotted.

8.            Attendance needs to be taken of all participants, volunteers/instructors and spectators at each activity or each day and maintained by the coach/program.

9.            ALL common equipment, gear and balls MUST be cleaned and sanitized after each practice/game/class/program and during breaks, when possible.

10.        Participants, coaches/instructors and volunteers should avoid huddles and high fives and continue to promote social distancing when possible. No spitting will be allowed either.

11.        If a participant, instructor, coach, volunteer, or household family member has displayed any signs of illness in the most recent 10 days, that person MUST NOT attend practice.

12.         If made aware of a positive COVID-19 test, the program must notify Chad McGraw and Glenn Peacher immediately, who will contact the Health Department for guidance.

13.        Emmorton Rec Council will allow only one (1) parent/guardian per participant attend programming in the building.

14.        Practices are 100% OPTIONAL and subject to family‚Äôs comfort level. We 100% support whatever decision you view is most appropriate for your participants and family members.
